Description

Ancient Roman Republic silver denarius coin.  The coin is of a triga (3 horse chariot) of horses with Victory driving.

The horse's heads converge in the shape of a heart.  The clarity, detail, and expression in the horse's heads and legs is exceptional.

Rome mint 111-110 B.C.  

Appius Claudius Pulcher, T. Manlius Mancinus, and Q. Urbinius moneyer.
