1935 British Silver Crown, known as the Rocking Horse Crown, set in a sterling silver mount with a heavy cable chain toggle necklace.
This necklace is a show stopper.
Also available with a sterling silver key ring.
Each coin is in excellent condition, slight variations do occur.
Story
According to legend, St George was a Roman soldier who was born in the third century AD and was condemned to death by the Roman Emperor Diocletian for refusing to give up his Christian faith.
He symbolized courage and strength, the victory of good over evil, and became one of medieval Europe’s greatest legends. By 1348 Edward III made him Britain's patron saint.
The Rocking Horse Crown, George V Silver Jubilee Crown 1935. It was George V who adopted the Windsor name for himself and future royal generations. Percy Metcalf designed the St. George and the Dragon side of the coin.
