1824 German States 16 Gute Groschen Coin (gs-116)
1824 German States Hannover/Brunswick/Luneburg silver coin. The artwork is representative of German States coins of a horse, with a flowing mane and tail, bounding left. This coin is in beautiful condition, showing very little wear. The coin is 0.993 silver (sterling silver is 0.975 silver) giving it the luminous quality of pure silver. 16 gute groschen is the equivalent of 2/3 Hanoverian thaler.
George IV was King of Hannover, King of Great Britain, and King of Ireland.
The coin is set in an 18kt gold hand fabricated mount.
