Description

Large ancient silver coin from the Scythian empire.  King Azes I is shown riding a horse with a raised crop in his hand.  The goddess Athena is on the back, her right hand raised with a shield and spear in her left hand.

This is known at the 'Magi' coin as it is believed that King Azes sent the 3 Kings to Bethlehem. 

Dated: circa 35 BC - 5 AD
